Understanding people. Earning trust. Bridging Divides.

Baroness Tina Stowell uses podcasts and policy pamphlets to explore the social and political divides shaping modern Britain. Drawing on her personal and professional experience, she brings together diverse voices and perspectives that are often overlooked in mainstream debate. Through thoughtful conversations and evidence-based analysis, Tina examines how trust can be rebuilt and how shared values can shape a more connected society.

Baroness Tina Stowell MBE - Bridging divides. Building coalitions . My belief is that every organisation, team or individual has potential… Being great technically and delivering good results is no longer enough.

SOCIAL MARKET FOUNDATION THINK TANK POLICY PAMPHLET

“The education divide is about disrespect: why it matters, and what graduates should do about it.”

Because of her personal and professional experiences, Tina takes a particular interest in the social divides that were starkly exposed by the Brexit referendum in the UK and the first election of Donald Trump in the US and which have remained present in all Western democratic events since – especially the electoral division between graduates and non-graduates, which is now the single biggest factor in determining which way people vote.

In 2021 she wrote a paper on that social divide and how to bridge it for leading cross-party think tank, the Social Market Foundation, which you can read in full here.

“Tina Stowell writes powerfully on the basis of her experience at the highest levels of government and media. She’s part of the group of people who get to decide how things are run and what gets talked about, but she’s also keenly aware of the views and experiences of people who feel shut out of those decisions. The educational divide is a story of two tribes, and Tina Stowell is rare in knowing them both well. Her paper captures one of the biggest challenges facing Britain today.”

‘Tina talks to… Today’s Britons’

Also in 2021 and on the same theme, Tina produced a series of conversations with a range of people who don’t normally feature on podcasts.

“Today’s Britons” are quietly successful, hard-working people, who deserve to be heard – and we can learn a lot if we listen to what they have to say.

In the series – which you can find ‘wherever you get your podcasts’ or here – “Tina talks to…

  • an oilrig worker about community, and the Red Wall
  • a secretary about power, the media, and Brexit
  • a hairdresser about attitude, and technical education
  • funeral directors about local life, and COVID
  • a warehouse worker about motivation, and Big Tech

Book Tina to speak at your next event and give your audience clear, practical insights on understanding people, earning trust, and coalition-building.
